Security Manager - London



Position: Security ManagerLocation:LondonSalary: Negotiable- depending on experienceJob Reference: ARM 1401Our client is an Industry Leader in Global money transfer who is actively looking for a Security Manager based in their London offices.
The role will involve:
·Developing, implement, and manage regional strategic planning and coordination of the security function aligned with the organization’s overall objectives.
·Accountable for implementing the organization’s international investigative programs and strategies.
·Implements the policies, procedures and systems required to maintain and enhance the international organizational investigative mission. Interprets and applies laws, orders, rule and regulations pertaining to international investigations.
·Oversees planning and conducts complex investigative operations, both internal and external, and briefs senior and executive management on the status of these investigations..
·Develops and documents standards for measuring the efficiency and effectiveness of international investigative operations.
·Maintains expert knowledge of specific requirements imposed by foreign government agencies, consulting with other members of the security function, as well as consulting with operational unit and field personnel.
·Maintains close relationships with all levels of law enforcement, intelligence and private sector counterparts to include in-country security and international security agencies.
·Participates in creating and maintaining a safe and secure workplace in Western Union facilities worldwide.
·Assists with conducting physical security surveys on the company.
·Participates in executive protection, advance protective surveys and event security.
Candidate Requirements:
Qualifications:
·Bachelor’s degree in area of study relevant to this position.
·English fluent, any other European language is a big asset (Spanish, German, French)
·Minimum 5 years experience with a major law enforcement, intelligence, public or private sector security organization.
·Demonstrated experience and exposure in the international security area.
·Strong investigative instincts along with a background in financial crimes investigations.
·Demonstrated ability to manage operational budgets and develop an understanding of the money transfer systems.
·Ability to travel 30% of the time.
Unique Qualifications / Skill Sets:
·Thorough understanding of industry cross channel security trends and standards.
·Ability to coordinate, work with and gain trust of business stakeholders, technical resources, and third party vendors.
·Able to interface with other industry investigators and industry peers.
·General knowledge of computers and data processing.
Ability to identify control gaps and recommend remediation strategies on a regular basis.
