Essential Job Functions:
•Control of all aspects of security operations in the respective field area
•Briefing of expat arrivals to field area on security issues and situation
•Briefing operations field management on relevant security issues
•Maintain a working relationship with peer security organizations
•Liaison with host government security forces
•Maintenance and understanding of AAC security policies
•Security measure review and forward planning for change in security reality
•Evacuation planning, emergency and crisis response
•Threat assessments for field operations
•Responsible for integrity of all walls, accesses, wire, concertina, and any protective security installations in the field
•Responsible for all maintenance, repairs, and upgrades as required to perimeter and safe haven security measures in the field
•Ensure that all security systems are fully functional at all times
•Proposals for maintenance, repairs and upgrades as required
•Co-ordination and supervision of contracted guard force in field locations
•Provide, and maintain currency of clear consignees to ensure that all field guard personnel clearly understand and correctly execute their duties
•Firearms control and deployment for any weapons held by guard personnel, verification of condition of weapons and munitions.
•Maintain a clear understanding of the AAC security policies
•Security aspects of journey management and host government escort coordination
•Evacuation planning, routes, surveys, recces as required

Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline e.g. International Studies, Criminology, Risk Mangement etc.
•If no Bachelor’s degree: Professional HSE Certification, NEBOSH or Equivalent is essential
•All Certifications/Licenses should be valid, in date IDL

Required Experience:
•Minimum of ten (10) years security industry experience, preferably within Africa or Middle East
•Experience within the Oil and Gas industry preferable
•Written and spoken French essential
•Knowledge and experience of crisis Management
About the organization
Our client is seeking experienced individuals to manage the security operations in Algeria. The Field Security Manager is a rotational position based in Algeria and as part of the incumbent Algeria team made up of security professionals will be charged with supporting ongoing company oilfield operations.
