Head of Security

Salary: to £50K + Benefits Package
Location(s): London, West End
Job description: To set company security strategy and produce clear objectives that can be communicated to the team and the wider business.
Design security audit process with sign-off from HR Manager and Retail Director.
Set schedule for audits and company LP strategy with Retail Director.
Ensures Company Health & Safety procedures are up to date and risk assessments in place across all depts.
Chairs Health & Safety Committee and Report to Exec on all Health & Safety matters
Ensures RIDOR compliance.
Sets Fire Safety strategy in conjunction with Facilities Dept and Emergency Procedures (invac/evac).
Ensures control room layout is conducive to a professional working environment.
To be aware of all ongoing investigations and keeps Retail Director up to date with progress.
Creates a culture where fraud investigation is a priority and any suspected fraudulent activity is reported to the Retail Director/Executive Committee.
Support HR with discrete investigations as required under the Whistleblower Policy.
Ensure company procedures are compliant with current legislation.
Train relevant members of senior team.
Act as Company Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Bribery Officer.
Selects best in class security agency to provide additional head count
Ensure Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Plan are held in secure location.
Supports Executive Committee with Disaster Recovery Planning
Works with the Retail Director to ensure reducing stockloss is maintained as a key business priority.


Candidate profile: Previous experience in a Security management capacity within Retail is essential for this excellent opportunity.
You will have knowledge and experience of setting up Security a strategy within the Retail.
Setting up Security Audits for (Till checks, Locker checks, Bag searches, Staff Purchases, Access Permits, Fitting Room Checks Tagging Checks) within Retail.
Knowledge and experience of Health & Safety, Fire Safety, and Emergency Evacuation strategy within Retail.
Knowledge and experience of Investigations, Fraud Prevention, Anti Money Laundering, and Anti Bribery Policy within Retail.
Knowledge of PACE and keeps up to date with relevant legislation; ensuring that it is translated into policy; and that training is provided as necessary
Knowledge and experience of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning.
Knowledge and experience of 3rd party security service suppliers including manned guarding, CCTV, Access control and alarms.
