Law Enforcement Mobile Training Team Trainer

Responsibilities:
Assist the Project Manager during identification, development, implementation, and management of the IPPOS program
Develop, refine, or finalize training curriculum

Ensure only vetted and approved trainees are trained
Conduct pre-training assessments and assist in the drafting and submission of the assessment reports
Deliver pre-deployment training in-country based on the INL approved training curriculum, including training of trainer courses
Design and implement final evaluation process of trainees and training
Conduct evaluation of training and trainees
If required, participate in a monitoring and evaluation team to evaluate effectiveness of trained PCC peacekeepers in a multilateral mission.
Travel overseas to and within countries that are considered dangerous or unhealthy or other adverse environment.

Minimum Qualifications:
Five years as an active, sworn position in a full service law enforcement agency
Certified police trainer with at least 2 years experience as a trainer in a police academy setting
Experience in curriculum development
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Must be willing and capable of working in a fluid environment, under challenging circumstances
Must demonstrate ability to work well in a team environment and with trainers from another country
Must demonstrate knowledge of and ability to train on at least 3 of the following skillsets: Crowd control and public order management; Proper use of UN standard firearms – rifle, pistol, and grenade launchers; Defensive tactics and self defense; VIP protection; Check points; First aid and CPR; Land navigation, map reading, and GPS; Driver Training; UN System and operations in peacekeeping
Must be able to deliver police training to foreign nationals through a language assistant
Travel overseas to and within countries that are considered dangerous or unhealthy or other adverse environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working/living abroad
Ability to speak and read French
Prior UN peacekeeping experience
Knowledge of multilateral peacekeeping operations

This position requires attendance at pre-deployment and other training courses as required and specified by INL.
