Job description
The individual will direct and co-ordinate the overall activities of the Security Department, to guarantee the safety & security of all the guests, employees and hotel property. We are looking for passionate people with drive, entrepreneurial skills and a positive attitude to join our team.
Job Duties:
• You must be aware of the Fire & Emergency procedures, Security policies & procedures, and your Departments responsibility in an emergency.
• You will conduct regular operational meetings to review, monitor, adjust and upgrade the performance of the Department as a whole, explaining new directions and policies and procedures.
• You will maintain a Hotel logbook on incidents, complaints etc. and refer them, if required to the appropriate department for follow up action.
• You will handle and resolve all guest queries and complaints in an efficient manner and to establish an amicable relationship with all clients, customers and guests of the Hotel.
• You will conduct frequent front and back of house checks ensuring the procedures, standards of employee grooming and manning levels are in order and takes appropriate action where necessary, and recommend improvements and changes if required.
• You will supervise all staff within the department and assist them in preparing work schedules in line with the Hotel procedures and as designated by the Hotel Manager.
• Liaise with all contractors, suppliers and visitors prior to permitting entry into hotel areas.
• Oversee the Control Room and all CCTV functions
The ideal candidate should have all of the following skills:
• Previous Security Management experience
• Previously worked in security operations within a 5 star hotel
• Be able to manage, motivate and train a small dedicated team.
• Observe and report accidents and incidents within the hotel.
• Pro-activeness and a quick thinking in pressurizing situations.
• Time management & punctuality in the daily job responsibilities
• Good supervisory & monitorial skills with a multi cultural outlook towards solving problems.
