Hours of work Monday – Friday 07.00 – 19.00 hours
Salary £15.15 per hour
Essential: SIA Licence, CCTV Licence, relevant experience

Context:
The Day Security Manager is pivotal role within this prestigious corporate environment and will be the central lead between the security team and a wide number of stakeholders.  Day to day, the post holder will be responsible for ensuring that every part of the security operation delivers outstanding customer service.
The building, which was opened by HM Queen in November 2011 operates state of the art security equipment and the latest technology. The company prides itself on delivering exceptional professional services to it’s client base at all times, therefore our security service must emulate this. 

Job Purpose:
To manage the day to day operation of a compact security team, ensuring that all officers are correctly dressed, trained and present a professional manner at all times. The Day Security Manager is to ensure that the correct manning levels are maintained at all times with fully trained and motivated staff, they are to have a hands on approach and lead by example. There will be a requirement to engage with a number of stakeholders, sometimes at a very senior level, therefore excellent interpersonal skills with attention to detail is paramount.

Key Responsibilities:
Ø  Ensuring that manning levels and training meet the required standard
Ø  Attend meetings as required, both KPMG and ISS, 
Ø  Ensuring that all officers are correctly and smartly uniformed.
Ø  Carry out new starter induction and development training as well as mentoring existing officers to ensure that customer excellence is maintained.
Ø  Ensuring that all training records are completed and submitted to the Operations Manager in a timely manner.
Ø  Liaise with the workplace management team to ensure that all security requests are fulfilled in a professional and timely manner.
Ø  Ensuring that any complaints are dealt with in a professional and timely manner and, provide a comprehensive action plan for all complaints received.
Ø  Ensuring that all equipment is fully operational with any issues reported.
Ø  Provide management cover to the Operations Manager, if required.
Ø  Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation
Ø  Carry out staff appraisals and manage all performance issues relating to security officers in their charge.
Ø  Carry out initial investigations in preparation for any resulting action.
Ø  Carry out return to work interviews and pro-actively monitor sickness levels, advising the Operations Manager of remedial actions taken. 
Ø  Any other duties which may be deemed necessary
