Position: Head of Security - UKIN
Location: Bracknell with possible flex in the UK
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Working Pattern: Day Time Only
Salary: £55 - 65k plus 30% bonus and car or allowance plus excellent benefits

ROLE:
To lead, manage, implement, design, monitor security services of DHL Supply Chain UKIN as an extremely secure environment. Minimising losses, thefts and security incidents and liaising effectively with internal and external customers and authorities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Minimise losses, thefts and security related incidents within area of responsibility.
b) Implements the regional security strategy.
c) Develops close relationships with local authorities of law enforcements and governmental bodies.
d) Sponsors and coordinators security consultancy services to customers both internal and external.
e) Provide management with regular security advice and consultation with regards to handling complex issues relating to security.
f) Provides communication and contact for security-related issues to sub-regional / country management.
g) Interface and escalation point for the sub-regional and country security management.
h) Develops own security standards and policies in line with the European Regional Security Program.
i) Conducts and coordinates investigations under the supervision of European Regional Head of Security.
j) Develops security concept and the security processes for new business.
k) Is the key interface to sub-regional / country management for implementing the security standard aimed at reducing risks, response to incidents and thus to limit company?s exposure to liability and personal risks.
l) Ensures that the European regional Security program is understood in the country and maintained.
m) Manages and directs via a direct line the Regional Security staff of DCS.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Knowledge of security practices and principals in an international environment; Managerial experience with a Multi-national responsibility for physical and operational security, contingency planning investigations and security awareness training.
b) Substantial security management experience; with exceptional knowledge of supply chain related security management.
c) Good motivational skills, effective at leadership through consultation and influence; outstanding written and oral communication skills.
d) Excellent software skills (MS Office Excel, Access, PowerPoint); strong interpersonal skills.
e) You should be happy to travel occasionally within Europe and frequently within the UK.
f) CPP and certified.
g) Exceptional knowledge of supply chain related security management.

DESIRABLE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) In depth business knowledge of supply chain / transport operations processes is preferred.
