Job description
The Westgrove group is an award winning national provider of bespoke dual service security and cleaning solutions, specialising in high profile corporate offices, commercial premises, shopping centres and football stadia. We are currently looking for a Deputy Security Manager at Concourse Shopping Centre, Skelmersdale.
You will be contracted to 45-60 hours per week, working 5 days per week, including weekends. Shift patterns will include nights and days. As a Deputy Security Manager you will be required to assist in managing the security team at a busy shopping centre in Skelmersdale. You will be part of a team of 12 and responsible for the smooth running of the security operation whilst on shift including partner liaison.
General Duties
- Co-ordination of staff, control access/ egress to site
- Conducting regular patrols
- Administrative tasks ensuring policies and procedures are followed and paperwork is completed to a high standard.
- Ensure the busy shopping centre/ Retail Park is patrolled and kept secure at all times.
- Responsible for protecting the security and safety of the identified buildings and personnel.
- Acting as a first line support to employees and visitors to site
- Providing a professional and friendly service
- Fire, security and building systems monitoring
- Site barrier control and traffic management
- Report writing on daily activities and irregularities such as theft, damage etc.
- Liaison with public sectors such as police, ambulance and fire service when required.
- Adherence to policy and procedures.
Essential Requirements
- SIA Licence
- Previous security and CCTV experience within the retail industry
- Previous supervisory experience in a similar role is preferred
- Excellent IT and communication skills.
- Excellent customer service
- Smart appearance
- Ability to work on own initiative
- A professional demeanour with sound judgement and integrity
