Now we have an opportunity for a Security Manager to lead and direct the centres security functions, seeking to provide the optimal level of security and safety for the property.

Through leadership management you will deliver a high standard of protection for the centre in association with the services vision. Focus is on development, implementation, review and management of proactive measures to ensure the centre’s protection, whilst ensuring the centre delivers increased traffic and profit expectations.

Your key responsibilities in this role will include...
• Develop, implement and evaluate the security strategy, policy and initiatives, working within the annual business plan to deliver the full Net Operational Income (NOI)
• Work with Centre Management to develop and deliver all security aspects of the annual business plan, implementing these plans to meet the needs of the day to day, internal and external operations
• Through innovation drive plans and systems which aim to maximise safety, operational and customer service excellence at all times
• Working with key stakeholders review centre data on theft and other incidents / experiences across a rolling monthly period to assist in development of annual security plan
• Take security operational accountability for all marketing, commercial and retailer events ensuring full assessments and planned delivery are reviewed and verified
• Ensure Westfield policies, procedures and work practices are adhered to and provide advancements where necessary.
• Clearly communicate and achieve ongoing commitment to security priorities and operating procedures with internal and external parties, liaising with appropriate key stakeholders, including blue light services
• Ensure delivery of the full NOI, or improvement of, in line with the feasibility budgets and business plans
• Work with contracted security provider to ensure that all personnel meet the Westfield standard and are fully trained for each role
• Work with security provider to develop a staff training programme and succession strategy, ensuring continuity of employment, minimising staff turnover and loss of knowledge
• Through working with the contracted security provider develop a culture within the security team that is reflective of the Westfield values.
• Maintain positive relationships with all internal departments to fully understand centre requirements, providing accurate and timely information when required and secure their commitment to achieve required outcomes
• Manage key relationships outside the organisation and gain their commitment to Westfield outcomes
• Co-ordinate the centre's response to emergency/critical incidents
• Identify any problem areas and develop strategic approach for improvements
• Monitor all security operations policies and control procedures, carrying out checks to ensure that managers and staff are compliant
• Work with local Police, Fire Brigade and Ambulance Services to identify key contact personnel and develop emergency protocols
• Assess and implement appropriate manning levels, physical and electronic measures to ensure effective preventative security and incident response. Ensuring the contracted security provider is fully trained in all risk management processes within the centre.

• Significant experience in a strategic security position in a dynamic, fast moving and demanding environment
• Maintained knowledge of national and state legislation and compliance requirement
• Maintain and continue to develop personal knowledge in area of expertise (Security, Counter Terrorism, Business Continuity, Risk Management, Crime Analysis)
• Demonstrated background in managing multiple relationships that may have conflicting interests
• Relevant licences (SIA)
