The Role
The Travis Perkins Group is currently recruiting for an experienced security professional to take on
the varied and challenging role of Group Security Investigator. If you have ambitions to progress, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain field based experience and develop your skills in remote management. As an integral part of the Security Department, you will provide a comprehensive support function across our businesses. As GSI you will be the first point of contact for Branch Managers and as such need to ensure that the information you provide is not only accurate, but is in line with current policies and procedures and the overall framework of the Group Security Strategy. As the face of the Security Support function, you will need to be an exceptional communicator with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively with people at all levels.
What Are We Looking For?
Due to the intricacies of this role it is considered essential that you can demonstrate previous experience working as an Investigator within a Retail or Merchanting Environment. Furthermore, you will need to bring with you experience of working across multiple sites, preferably within a multi brand business.
Our best security investigators have experience of conducting investigations and interviews and are able to advise our Branch Managers on best practice processes for these. It is essential that this experience was gained by investigating internal thefts and frauds. Although not essential, it would definitely be an asset if you have completed the WZ Non Confrontational Interview Technique. Knowledge of Employment Law together with experience of working with outside agencies such as the Police, Scene of Crime Officers and the Courts is also considered essential.
As well as your previous experience, we will be looking at your natural qualities. Good with people, thorough in your approach and flexible to meet the needs of the business are all big plus points for us. With a keen eye for detail, you’ll be well practiced in putting together clear, factual and concise security reports.
