Role Summary:
The purpose of the job is to provide a comprehensive site security service to minimize risk and ensure site rules are observed at all times. You will bedealing with employees, contractors and members of the public. You will also deal with telephone enquiries, booking contractors and visitors onto site and ensuring that we are providing an effective service to give best practice security. You will provide initial action to site emergencies.
To patrol the client site to ensure that the site is secure.
To identify risks and take remedial action as necessary.
To monitor access and movement within the client site, including the issue of keys, passes and equipment.
Dealing with a wide range of customers.
Make and maintain accurate records e.g. incident reports, witness statements, lost property, goods received and evidence recording.
Responding to on site incidents e.g. fire,medical,environmental spills and intruders
Manual Handling e.g. when using the stretcher and emergency equipment.
Advanced First Aid.
To provide cover in the absence of colleagues including switchboard closure.
Provision of first aid in the absence of medical staff.
Weighbridge operations, which include weighing vehicles and inputting information onto various databases.
Monitor and test equipment as applicable e.g. intruder alarms taking remedial action as necessary.
Issue various specialist permits, e.g. “Hot Work”
Experience Required:
Good verbal and written communication skills
Good interpersonal skills
Experience of working under pressure
Flexibility and ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to work on own initiative
Attention to detail
Good customer service skills
Computer literacy.
Clean current driving licence.
Be prepared to undertake ongoing training
