Job Introduction:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Risk Support Officer for a prestigious client based in Somerset. The position holder will be expected to provide G4S and the client with a supporting Risk Management focused service which is responsive to both the needs of the company and the customer.
The role will be forward looking to provide assurance and compliance of the G4S security team in their delivery of safety and security. Where development needs are identified the role will build the capability team to mitigate this need

Role Responsibility:
Development and preparation, of quality assurance reports
Delivery of compliance reports
Support capability build of G4S Security Team
Support and mentoring where areas of improvement are identified
Production of Security Risk Assessments
Supporting planning of operational contractual developments through life of project
Support the service delivery and quality assurance of G4S services to the client
Understand and manage client expectations and requirements
Monitor Risk Management developments, systems and standards
Project proposal and project management
Support ad hoc operational requests from G4S and the client
To be considered for this role candidates must meet the following:
Thorough understanding of Risk Management methodologies and processes
Proven Risk management experience within corporate, security and/or governmental environments
Good Project management skills developed within a commercial/consulting environment
Ability to analyze risk environments
Excellent client (internal and external) consulting skills
Effective decision making and judgment
Assertiveness with strong influencing skills
Strong interpersonal skills – building trust and support
Good communication skills – written and oral (informal and presentational)
Strong IT skills, proficient in Microsoft Office
IOSH qualification or higher
Experience of working on large construction or Oil and Gas projects
Proven experience in a risk management environment. Good commercial understanding – able to incorporate risk into other business disciplines
Proven experience of working in hostile or high threat environments
Experience of training and developing private contracted security officers
Self-starter; proven project management capabilities; basic commercial skills
Ability to achieve SC clearance
Highest levels of integrity and professionalism required at all times
Recognised professional qualification in security/risk related field (e.g. CPP) highly desirable
SIA Licenses to Close Protection level desirable
SC or DV level desirable. Ability to pass DV level screening required to pass probation
5 year checkable employment history & Right to work in UK unrestricted

The Ideal Candidate:
Experience of working with UK manned security
Knowledge of Electronic security systems
Risk Management Qualification
Knowledge of BS7499, BS3010, BS7984 & ISO 9000
