Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions:
  • Perform roving patrol to assigned area(s).
  • Monitor and maintain law and order within the area of assigned responsibility.
  • Conduct Security/Resource protection and Controlled Area Checks.
  • Perform Incident/Complaint and Vehicle Accident Investigations, Reporting and Documentation.
  • Enforce on base Traffic Control and maintain Traffic Records.
  • Perform Anti-hijacking inspection.
  • Perform Airfield/Aircraft Support Operations.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • One or more years of security experience; knowledge of security instructions and installation facilities.
  • Military or comparable civilian security/law enforcement experience required or related experience and education can be considered in place of specific military, security, or law enforcement experience.
  • Must be able to interface with all levels of personnel in a diverse, multi-cultural, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Remote overseas assignment, no family accommodations available.
  • Shift work and extended hours may be required. May be physically demanding at times; including the necessity to lift at least 70 pounds unassisted.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
  • Valid U.S. passport and U.S. driver's license required.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical exam.
  • This position is assigned to Ascension AAF, Ascension Island, South Atlantic Ocean.
