The Dog House is a unique training school and activity holiday centre for dogs. We are currently looking for a dog trainer & handler.
This opportunity is ideal for a self-motivated energetic and fit person with excellent communication skills who wishes to have a long-term career working with and training dogs. As well as gaining invaluable hands-on experience of teaching dogs and owners, the successful candidate would also benefit from an annual education programme.
A knowledge of animal behaviour and previous experience of dealing with dogs is essential.
The successful candidate would be extremely dedicated, reliable, very hard working, caring, outgoing and be able to hold a position of considerable responsibility as well as work well as part of a team. They would also need to enjoy living in a beautiful but remote area.
Clean driving license, own transport and references essential.
Duties will include
Companion dog training, gundog training, desensitising programmes
Exercising and handling groups of dogs
Grooming, feeding, cleaning and general care
Basic farm duties
Starting salary dependent on experience / knowledge
