Role overview
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Global Security Officer to support VSO International and International Citizen Service (ICS). ICS is a VSO led consortium that delivers a large, multi-country youth programme funded through a contract with DFID. ICS works with youth volunteers (18-25 years old) in development projects across approx. 28 countries. As such is one of the largest programmes of its kind. ICS has been operational for four years and recently been awarded a new contract for a further three. This role is a new post that will work closely with the Global Security Advisor to ensure that VSO and ICS model excellence in the management of safety and security across their entire portfolio.
Skills, qualifications and experience required
As the successful candidate, you will have a comprehensive understanding of global security management, with strong experience of developing, reviewing and implementing security policies and guidance. You will have a track record of quality compliance and experience in conducting security risk assessments and developing customised security assessment reports. Field experience and experience of working with the target youth demographic would be an advantage. This role will be UK based with regular international travel. Candidates should be able to work flexibly.
