The Red Hat Security Safety + Business Continuity team is seeking a Regional Security + Safety Manager for our APAC region. In this role, you will report to the manager of security and safety programs and act as a program lead in the delivery of multiple, concurrent global programs and subordinate projects for your geographic region. You'll be the primary point of contact for business stakeholders and communication conduit in the area of security, life safety, and emergency preparedness and response. Through building relationships and facilitating collaboration, you will define these solutions aligned with the goals of the Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) team to support our rapid expansion while cultivating our culture.

Primary job responsibilities
Develop, implement, and manage planning for the region's global security and safety services, as well as regional planning and coordination
Provide regional security and safety leadership to the sites and establish the region's security and safety business plan
Develop, plan, and organize regional security and safety activities and ensure actions comply with legal and regulatory requirements
Develop and implement policies, procedures, standards, training, and methods for identifying and protecting information, people, property, facilities, operations, or material from unauthorized disclosure, misuse, theft, assault, vandalism, espionage, sabotage, or loss
Develop and document standards for measuring efficiency and effectiveness of security and safety operations
Brief senior and executive management on status of security issues
Plans, develop, and implement procedures to obtain, maintain, secure, analyze, account for, and provide information from security and safety assessments
Manage complex security and safety improvement programs
Maintain relationships with high-level law enforcement, authorities having jurisdiction, emergency management, and intelligence and private sector counterparts
Plan and direct security and safety protection plans through guideline and standard development and design
Identify trends and activities enabling Red Hat to quantify security risks
Create and modify documentation relative to physical security vulnerability assessments, e.g. security surveys, vulnerability analyses, technical security reviews, lighting and CPTED evaluations
Create and modify Red Hat's written security program and security projects, as well as collect and disseminate design information
Coordinate with internal departments as well as other service partners and user group to ensure system applications are met


Required skills
Master's degree in a relevant area, with 5+ years of experience with a major law enforcement, intelligence, public service, or private sector security organization, or a bachelor's degree in a relevant area with 8+ years of experience with a major law enforcement, intelligence, public or private sector security organization
3 years of experience in a corporate environment, preferably in the software engineering or service industry
Ability to consistently work on complex assignments requiring you to work independently and take initiative
Ability to make recommendations for new processes and procedures, as well as independently determine methods and procedures on new assignments
Capability to lead or supervise the activities of vendors and provide guidance to other non-exempt personnel
Demonstrated clear, concise, and effective communication skills to individual, small, or large group
Capability to lead others and team projects (e.g. prioritize work, provide effective training, and coordinate multiple tasks)
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment that requires you to be proactive, self-sufficient, manage your time effectively
Willingness to travel up to 30% globally
