Overview of the role
This role is a focal point within the Serco Justice and Immigration (J&I) Business Unit who reports to and supports the Head of Security in delivering and providing onsite specialist security advice, assurance and investigatory support whilst ensuring that the contracts are managing security in accordance with the corporate and contractual regulatory requirements.

The core function of this role is to support the development, implementation and continual improvement of security procedures, processes and awareness in order to embed a consistent security management system across all J&I contracts that is aligned with corporate strategy. This role will ensure effective processes and control measures are in place to anticipate, understand, mitigate/reduce security risks, threats and vulnerabilities to all J&I contracts.


Essential skills
About you


As the successful candidate you must be able to evidence substantial previous experience in a Security Management role ideally with a custodial, military or police background or hold a CISM or equivalent security management qualification. Being a member of the Security Institute is desirable.

You will be able to demonstrate the ability to work with and advise the contract and business unit in respect of security-related threats, vulnerabilities and control measures. You will demonstrate a good understanding of the risks and regulatory environments with exist across the Justice and Immigration Sector.

Managing delivery and transforming businesses whilst engaging with internal and external stakeholders and building relationships in order to resolve any resistance barriers are key requirements in this role.

You are responsible for ensuring that you create clear plans or ensure systems are in place for delivery.

You must be able welcome new opportunities and embrace changes.

Strong Microsoft Office experience is required in this role.

Specific Requirements

This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and all offers of employment are subject to security clearance checks and approval by the Home Office.

Our contracts are located throughout the UK therefore the willingness and ability to travel within all regions of the UK and a valid UK driver`s licence is essential.
