Reporting to the Head of Facilities Management Soft Services, the Security Operations Manager will be responsible for delivering sector-leading Security Operations and Support services across the University and its external partners. The role holder’s principal responsibilities will be to:-
Manage and lead Security Operations and Support teams consisting of 46 staff.
Provide a risk-based, proactive, and effective security service providing a safe, secure university environment, reducing crime and incidents.
Advise senior management on risk, provide technical and professional advice and ensure compliance with legislation, UoB Policy and Security requirements.
Maintain relevant security accreditations for all properties within the portfolio.
The Security Operations Manager will work closely with the Security Systems Manager on the delivery and operations of critical security systems including CCTV, Access Control and Alarm Monitoring systems.
