We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Security Manager to lead Corinthia Hotel London’s security team, with a clear focus on health and safety responsibilities.

Scope and Purpose

The Assistant Security Manager, under the direction of the Security Manager and Director of Rooms, will take responsibility for ensuring that all security and health and safety legislation is adhered to and the relevant policies and procedures are adopted.

You will assist in the planning, implementation, monitoring and review of the protective and preventative measures that Corinthia Hotel London requires, and will work to minimise all losses, occupational health issues, accidents and injuries by adopting a zero-tolerance approach to security, health and safety breaches, whilst at the same time generating awareness of these issues across all layers of the organisation.

A safe and secure working environment is a visible outcome of these security, health and safety responsibilities and this role will support and complement the high service quality strategy adopted by Corinthia Hotel London for its operation.

Other skills that will need to be demonstrated include:
Demonstrable experience within Security and Occupational Health & Safety management, preferably from within a luxury 5* hotel or similar
NEBOSH qualification or similar a distinct advantage
A clear understanding of the demands set within the luxury service sector and have a strong customer focus
Helpful and flexible approach to tasks with a “can do” attitude
Excellent customer care skills with a high degree of integrity
Able to communicate effectively with guests, contractors, and colleagues at all levels of the organisational structure
Able to exercise initiative and prioritise duties accordingly based on a professional understanding of Security, Health & Safety activities
Able to work to a high standard against agreed time-scales with limited supervision
IT literate, with experience of data input on networked computer systems and coaching staff in this respect
Fluent in written & spoken English
Excellent attention to detail
Strong communication skills
Ability to work under pressure
Pride and attention to detail in your work
