Skills and Learning are currently looking to appoint a strategic and commercially minded Head of Army Apprenticeships. This exciting opportunity requires excellent leadership and collaborative skills and will involve overall responsibility for managing and developing our Apprenticeship contacts with the British Army across multiple sites in the UK and Germany.
The purpose of the role will be to actively drive forward strategic partnerships with central Army teams and the individual Corps, improving the operational delivery model whilst building effective, structured and high level relationships across the organisation. It is important to be able to design and implement change and manage this positively across the business whilst having the ability to develop robust and transparent business processes in order to deliver contractual obligations.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in P&L management, change management (business improvement) and developing client and stakeholder relationships.
Responsibilities:
Create and drive forward a strategic partnership culture with the central Army teams and the individual Corps
Development of robust, transparent and effective business process
Manage a mobile workforce based across multiple sites across the UK and Germany
Review and improve the operational delivery model
Create a culture of high performance, people management and actively manage performance
Deliver contractual obligations across all 5 contracts
Ensure transparent and accurate management information
Deliver budgeted profitability
Retain current contracts through retenders and win positions with new Corps through future tenders
Manage all contractual Quality, Health & Safety and Risk issues in line with Babcock corporate governance policies, processes and procedures.
Requirements:

Proven experience of business improvement and change management
Evidence of P&L management
Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management as a senior level
Management of contract performance against KPI’s
Management of a geographically deployed workforce
Apprenticeship knowledge and experience would be desirable but not essential
