Operations Manager (Security Operations)

We are looking for an Operation Manager reporting to the Head of Operation and Process Compliance. You will be responsible for the operational service to all clients and stakeholders with accountability for the Control room, Resources including temporary work desk and the operations Helpdesk.

Taking the ownership and accountability for all operational service delivery requirements, providing a consistent approach all whilst ensuring that profit margins are protected.

The Role
To develop and lead, ensuring a high and consistence service is delivered.

Providing innovative added value solutions and maintaining strong relationships.

Being accountable for the full operational service including decision making on service requirements and coverage.

Manage and maintain relationships of the various accounts ensuring reviews achieve positive outcomes.

Responsible for the “live” operation of the Control Room that manages essential functions covering time and attendance, incidents, security and safety and duty management responsibility outside of core hours.

Manage non-chargeable spend, escalating root causes to the stakeholders.

Ensure operational teams are adhering to department processes by working to compliance requirements

Clearly and concisely communicate the business objectives to your administration delivery team to ensure they remain well informed of business activity and of their required contribution to those goals.

Timely communication within the business including the board director on incidents, sub-contractor usage, under manning, absence and temporary work desk.

Significantly reduce spend on third party suppliers.

Ensure contract success through effective client engagement, compliance and best practice innovation.

Essential Experience
The Person


Experience of driving lean processes with the ability to complete report writing and analyse data.

Have the ability to deliver processes and implement compliance.

Excellent analytical skills to critically evaluate the information gathered and prioritised activity and ongoing communication.

A decisive and assertive decision maker who can interpret situations to proceed with a prioritised action plan that achieves the results required.

People management experience from a commercial and customer focused environment

Commercially aware with the business acumen to keep VSG ahead of our competition

Inspirational leader with a proven drive for delivering results

Working on a rotating shift pattern, 4 on 4 off days and nights averaging 42 hours per week on 12 hour shifts.
