We are currently recruiting a Security Supervisor to be based at our clients site in Birmingham.

Working hours:
3 Days 3 Nights 3 Off
06:00-18:00 & 18:00 - 06:00

Job Purpose:

To supervise the provision of high visibility security guarding at the client properties / buildings and surrounding grounds.

Principal Accountabilities:
To carry out all duties in accordance with the site assignment instructions (Al’s)
To carry out all instructions issued by either the EMCOR Security Manager or the client Facilities Manager
Responsible for all operations carried out by shift personnel and / or day security officers
Has the authority of the Security Manager whenever he is not on site. All decisions made, and actions authorised , in the EMCOR Security Managers name are to be cleared with him as soon as he returns to the site
Responsible for the compliance with all assignment instructions of all personnel under his / her direction
To control and administer the access control system, as per the client security manual
To control and administer the CCTV system in line with the current provisions of the Data Protection Act
To make sure that all staff are SIA licensed, CCTV trained and client vetted
To make sure that all staff are first aid trained at all times
To reduce down time of any security equipment, by correct reporting of all faults, and breakdowns
To carry out all training of security personnel in accordance with the training plan. Ensure all training is logged and up to date
Ensure all changes to roster information for all personnel is emailed to the relevant manager and time-gate updated.
To monitor and administrate lone working on time-gate
Take all necessary practical steps to ensure holiday and sickness cover is provided for all shift officers

Person Specification:
Security Industry Qualifications – Front line SIA Licence for Security Officers
Full driving licence
A good level of interpersonal skills and customer relationship skills

An understanding of a basic police and other emergency services procedures
Knowledge of the phonetic alphabet
CCTV Monitoring experience
Experience of hand held radios
Future SIA Licences funded
