Regional Security Manager

Aon are currently recruiting a Regional Security Manager EMEA to join our team in London.

The Regional Security Manager EMEA function will be to assist SRM’s Corporate Protection Services Practice in protecting Aon’s People, Property and Assets.

Reporting into the Regional Security Manager EMEA, the RSM will be primarily responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of multiple security services, including, but not restricted to: The UK Security Guard Operations contract for the UK; The training and development of all UK security personnel; The UK Physical Security Risk Assessment and Assurance program; The compilation of metrics and reports, and Project and Program management of relevant Physical Security Risk Mitigating Initiatives, in line with Aon’s Global Security Standards, Policies, and client and regulatory requirements.

In addition, the RSM would also be required to provide support to the Regional Head of Corporate Protection Services to ensure; The effective delivery of all elements of the regional Duty of Care and Travel Safety Programs; To drive forward recommendations for change (as identified through the Risk Assessment and Assurance programs); To enhance SRM’s capability in Incident Management - leading to an increased resilience around Aon’s business operations; The appropriate planning and delivery of event security protection.

About the Role
As a Regional Security Manager EMEA some of your key responsibilities will involve:

Management and delivery of all security functions, activities and personnel supporting the national guarding contract, including:
*People management of the Contract Manager
*Performance and SLA monitoring
*Compilation and presentation of the monthly KPI matrix
*Personal development planning
*Recruitment and training
*SoP management, development and compliance
Development and management of a regional security champions program, including development of a dedicated SharePoint site, training materials and periodic training programs
Management of the UK Assurance Program, ensuring all UK real estate is assess in line with legislative, client obligations or changes to threat landscape, to:
*Assess the efficiency of the current security controls and posture
*Ensure the security operations are compliant to internal CPS policies and standards
*Make recommendations to the business for improvements
*Track progress against these and align to the regional metrics tracker
Provide periodic risk assessment of EMEA locations, as determined by the Gold, Silver and Bronze tiering matrix and in accordance with Aon’s business strategies
Assisting and supporting global CPS programme delivery through various annual Risk Mitigation Initiatives (RMI’s)
Delivery of effective support and response to all external regulatory, and client audits of the security operational services, including quarterly SOC1 testing
Supporting the Regional Head of Corporate Protection Services in the management of Aon’s regional travel safety program, ensuring that appropriate security awareness and physical security controls are in place to protect travelling Aon colleagues. Delivered through a combination of:
*Reviewing the threat landscape
*Reviewing travel plans and itinerary
*Engagement with specialist regional security partners (high risk countries only)
*Raising colleague awareness through security briefings
Establishing and maintaining coordination with applicable local law enforcement and investigative agencies in conjunction with SRM’s EMEA goals, objectives and operational requirements.
Assisting investigations in support of GSS for legal, HR and Internal Audit functions
Effectively managing and mobilising all new real estate projects, and or real estate consolidations, in parallel with the EMEA Security Systems Manager, ensuring project and financial deadlines are met
Responsibility for the management of the regional training budget
Tracking and administration of all regional Ex-Pats
Assisting the regional demands of VIP and event security, by the provision of a physical security presence to provide safety and assurance to Aon colleagues

Responsibility for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.

About you

As a Regional Security Manager EMEA your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

Degree in Security Risk Management or equivalent managerial experience
SIA licence, membership of recognised security organisation
Proven progressive experience in all areas of physical and personnel security and within a regional, corporate level, management position
Project Management of large scale Physical Security Change and Moves
Excellent communications skills at all levels of management
Proficient in the use of MS Office - Word, Excel, Power Point
Must be familiar with access control systems and functions, CCTV, security vendor management, as well as security operations and functions within a multinational company
Able to function independently, under pressure and perform multiple functions and duties with no supervision or guidance
Line management experience / experience of managing a large team
