Our clients, a multi­cultural organization of accredited schools in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia offering a challenging world ­class education are now looking for a Safety and Security Manager.

JOB SPECIFICATION ­ SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Safety and Security Manager is responsible and accountable to (but not limited to) the following:
Ensure all the District security work is prepared for, planned and supervised;
Ensure maintenance and updating of the District Security Management Plan; (Note: The plan does not currently exist and will be produced as part of the current risk management security support project)
Ensure implementation of the District Security Management Plan;
Ensure the maintenance and updating of each school’s Security Management Plan takes place within the guidelines of the overall District Security Management Plan;
Organise the systematic supervision, inspection and auditing against the District Security Management Security Plan;
Advise the Security Management Committee on any ineffective aspects of the Security Management Plan and recommend solutions;
Obtain commitment for resources required for security and ensure the commitments are met. (Coordination with the Government Relations Officer (GRO) and contracted security manpower provider);
Ensure that standards for personnel responsible for security are met;
Co­ordinate with each school’s Security Management;
Ensure that any security regulations or directives set by government agencies are adhered to;
Coordinate with local external agencies (for example Saudi Arabian National Guard, Royal Commission Security and Police);
Ensure security duties are trained for their roles and that other personnel receive awareness training (in coordination with each school’s security management);
Evaluate termination of employment of individual staff of THEY District to ensure risks arising, such as sensitive information being taken from the District, are addressed;
Manage security reports submitted to the District Security Management Committee;
Keep up to date with security threats and trends to drive a continual improvement of the security system;
Ensure that security equipment is properly operated, tested, calibrated and maintained. Oversee the preserving of security equipment and supplies and checking serviceability by technical resources;
Supervise investigation processes related to security incidents;
Take command at incidents until senior managers or emergency services arrive;
To carry out any other security functions as directed by the District Superintendent.

SELECTION CRITERIA

The successful candidate should have:
Previous experience in security and risk management operations;
Experience of managing teams;
Experience of project management;
Experience in educational setting;
Fluent English with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; ? Advanced degree; ? Strong organizational skills;
Demonstrated success in managing and monitoring budgets;
Demonstrated success in managing contracts.
