Security Duty Manager

Eden Scott's well known Edinburgh based client has an excellent opportunity for a Security Duty Manager to join this vibrant environment on a permanent basis. You will have full accountability for motivating, coaching and developing your team by providing the right tools and techniques to deliver an exceptionally high level of service that promotes this well known Brand.


The successful candidate does not have to come from a background in Security, but you do have to have experience as an effective manager, ideally from a Production / Manufacturing background with experience managing assembly line / people in a busy, process led environment. You will play a pivotal role in the organisation with accountability for motivating, coaching and developing a team in order to deliver an exceptionally high level of service. Each Security Duty Manager will have line management responsibility for a team of Supervisors, and indirect line management responsibility for Security Officers.


Reporting into the Head of Security, the successful candidate will have duties including:

Managing a team of supervisors and wider teams
Due to the nature of the organisation you will have accountability for manging 3rd party relationships - such as the emergency services and law enforcement agencies
Threat assessor and accountability for managing security incidents
Taking control of performance targets / KPIs
Accountability for analysing central performance, identifying trends and adapting daily plans accordingly
Setting clear goals and expectations for the team through coaching and providing consistent feedback in accordance with internal processes
Dealing with any issues relating to the direct team or indirect team performance
Ensuring administration team members, maintenance technicians, engineering and IT deliver a timely support service to the entire team to ensure a smooth running operation



Experience/Skills

Qualification or equivalent in line management
Management Experience within a Production / Manufacturing Environment
Exceptionally strong management skills within a busy environment
Experience of leading a busy operational team using data to improve performance
You must be flexible and have the means necessary to commit to early starts/late finishes - between 03.15hours and 10.00hours
