Job Introduction:
G4S Events is Europe's leading independent provider of event security and crowd management services across music events, sporting events, conferences and exhibitions.

We are currently recruiting for Senior Security Supervisors who will be responsible for supporting the existing management team within the Manchester City FC guarding contract, based either at the Etihad Stadium or City Football Academy. The main purpose of the role is to provide supervision to all guarding staff whilst assisting the site Operations Manager with the logistical and administrative organisation of the team.

The positions are for 42 hours per week on a shift based rotation covering days, nights and weekends.

Role Responsibility:
Full supervisory responsibility for the guarding operation at either the Etihad Stadium or the Manchester City Football Academy within the MCFC manned guarding contract.
Work to the concept of being a member of the management team. As the Senior Supervisor you will have autonomy, team responsibility and accountability.
Manage all site related incidents, problems or queries in the first instance.
Set and maintain high standards of service and discipline, especially officer performance, appearance and behaviour, uniform care and image related matters.
Maintain a 'firm but fair' approach to disciplinary needs to ensure the code of conduct is achieved at all times.
Manage a fair and workable roster to company guidelines and authorise hours worked for pay purposes.
Assist the Operations Manager in organising team training, continually assessing individual needs and requirements.
Act as a motivator, ensuring that 'espirit de corps' is high at all times. Ensure any staff welfare issues are identified and managed appropriately.
Assist in the interviewing and selection of potential staff.
Complete care reports for all members of staff each month and enter on to the Operational Management System (OMS).
In the event that no other staff are available to cover contractual requirements stand in until solution is arranged.
Ensure all contractual hours are completed and are rostered accordingly. Ensure all staff have achieved their contractual hours each month.
Assist in the production and maintenance of site specific documents, including assignment instructions and training matrices. Ensure all site specific documentation is kept up to date.
Maintain company documentation in an efficient and tidy manner, bearing in mind it may be called upon by Police, client or company in certain circumstances.
Produce daily and incident specific reports to a set format and timeframe, for both G4S and our client.
Complete a weekly supervisory report and assist the Operations Manager in the compilation of a monthly site analysis report.
Responsible for the maintenance/accountability for all company equipment on site. Arranging repairs/replacements through management as necessary.
Liaise with client point of contact on a regular basis, ensuring G4S management are kept informed of any issues.
Ensure the Operations Manager is kept informed over any issues affecting the G4S team or Manchester City FC site.
Attend Manchester City FC site meetings when requested to do so.
Actioning and responding to all (assigned) workforce communications including reviewing holiday requests along with timely responses to any logged issues by the workforce. Obtaining advice and guidance when needed.
Ongoing support and coaching to the workforce to ensure all staff are performing the role correctly when on site and maintaining all elements of public safety when working at sites.


The Ideal Candidate:

Essential
Demonstrable experience in the security industry at Supervisory level.
IT literate with intermediate knowledge of MS programmes.
Basic level of financial awareness.
Valid driving license
Strong leadership ability with experience in supervising guarding teams on large and complex assignments.
Experienced and competent in the production of written reports with a keen attention to detail.
Strong work ethic with the desire to go the extra mile for both G4S and our client.
Confident in speaking with Senior Management while conducting business as usual and when dealing with specific incidents.
Calm under pressure and able to make important decisions unaided.
SIA Door Supervisor and CCTV licensed.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan ahead at all times, ensuring cover for holidays and sickness.

Desirable
Familiar with G4S systems and procedures including Sitelink, Signet and OMS.
Familiar with G4S discipline and grievance policies and procedures.
Experienced in rostering static guarding teams.
Experience in working at sports grounds.
Previous experience as a Senior Supervisor/Site Manager.
First Aid qualified.
