Job Overview

We are currently seeking a Security Control Centre Operative to oversee the day to day running of the Bilfinger Europa Security Control Centre.

Note: This role will require frequent travel within the UK

Main Duties and Responsibilities
This role will include a variety of tasks including the following:
To maintain, monitor and update the companies rostering systems at all times to ensure a professional management of the companies security business.


To manage the out of hours emergency escalation process for the company in ensuring that all events, incidents and emergencies are managed in a professional manner at all times and escalated in line with the company escalation process.


To be an ambassador for Europa in all dealings with our clients, employees, and suppliers who will be customers of the Security Control Centre service


To ensure compliance with all statutory and relevant company and client policies.


To deliver quality services in the most efficient and effective manner and achieve a “One Team” approach within the business.


To ensure that the Continuous Improvement Process is an integral part of service delivery increasingly adding value to both internal and external customers of the Security Control Centre facility


To understand and comply with all the Security Control Centre procedures and Assignment Instructions ensuring that all tasks and duties are completed as per the instructions.


Ensure during handover of shifts that full effective briefing takes place to deliver continuity in service delivery.


Provide as requested formal reports to the Security Control Centre Manager and senior Security Managers on all activities undertaken within the Security Control Centre.


Provide to the business daily, weekly and monthly reports from the company rostering system highlighting all incidents, areas of non-compliance and lone worker monitoring activity.


Ensure that all Health and Safety requirements are followed as per company policies and procedures which will include accident reporting / investigation, delivery of toolbox talks, maintenance of both statutory and non-statutory records etc.


To undertake SIA licensing compliance duties ensuring that the company SIA licensing process is compliant at all times.


To accept additional activities within the Security Control Centre such as help desk call and supporting calls to other areas of the business, non-security related.

Key Accountabilities


To continuously review and introduce security best practice into the Security Control Centre.


To enhance the relationship with the customer and ensure the appropriate and timely response to all Security Control Centre security issues and events.


To ensure that all relevant records are held and updated as required.


To ensure excellent communication with the team and motivation for all staff.


To ensure that specialist support and all company resources are utilized in the most efficient and effective manner.


Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
Previous Call Centre/ Control Centre experience


Successful track record of delivering solutions to internal and external client base


Excellent communication both written and verbal


Excellent keyboard skills with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel


Excellent administration skills and ability to prioritise workloads


Able to prioritise multiple work streams and work to deadlines.



Desirable:

Previous experience in security scheduling


Experience of working within a Security Control Centre/help desk environment


Experience of working with security rostering systems


Understanding of SIA licensing regulation
