Job Description (Roles and Responsibilities)
The British Consulate General in Jeddah has vacancies for the position of Security Guards, Grade S2(L).

Purpose of the job

Responsible in assisting the Overseas Security Manager (OSM) through the Post Security Manager (PSM) for the physical and protective security of both the Consulate and its compound.

Main Duties and responsibilities:
Work a shift rotation system to provide security at the Consulate General
Carry out security duties at the main and residence gate
Search vehicles and visitors entering compound
Be the first point of contact by telephone outside office hours
Scan and sort incoming local mail
Maintain various records and security logs

Essential:
Good standard of oral and written English.
Competent information technology user.
Ability to work well in a team and understand diversity.
Good Organizational skills.
Desirable qualifications and experience


Desirable:
Previous security experience.
Sound interpersonal skills and effective oral and written.

Working Hours and Remuneration:

The starting salary will be SAR 4,116.66 per month inclusive of the Eid Bonus and the 25% housing allowance. An additional travel allowance of SAR 400 per month will also be payable.

Normal working hours for the Embassy are 08.00 to 15.00 Sunday to Thursday. This position is full-time, based on 48 hours per week.

The successful candidate will be subject to a 90 day probationary period.

Eligibility:

The position is only available to holders of Saudi residence permits or transferable Iqamas, and the successful candidate will be required to transfer their sponsorship to us.
