The Prince's Trust is a youth charity that helps change young lives. We give practical and financial support, developing key workplace skills, such as confidence and motivation. We work with 13 to 30-year-olds who have struggled at school, have been in care, are long-term unemployed or have been in trouble with the law. We have helped more than 825,000 young people since 1976 and support 100 more each working day. More than three in four young people we helped last year moved into work, education or training. We are committed to equality and valuing diversity.

The Prince's Trust has a great reputation not only to the young people it helps but the wider community. In the face of an ever increasingly challenging security risk environment the Trust has the need for a national security officer to help protect it reputation and assets.

You will be responsible for all information security governance and compliance activities. Our goal is to ensure that necessary policies, related standards and regulatory requirements are well defined and appropriate, and that compliance is monitored and managed in an effective way.

To accomplish this you will setup a project team to ensure we devise a new best practice security governance structure, introduce a formal training / education program throughout the business and its delivery partners. Through active participation devise polices, auditing, and risk management processes, as well as through proactive management of controls evidence assurance with structured deviations and issue management practices.

The Prince's Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to apply for an enhanced DBS check.
