Main Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Security Team leader who will be responsible for the directive of the Security Manager (client) and the operational control of the Physical Security Supervisor for the 24/7 security of the Supply Chain Gateshead site, personnel and products within and the effective front line management of all allocated Compass Security employees. This role will work a roster pattern of 4-on/4-off (avrg. 42 hrs per week).
Ideal Candidate
Organised, systematic, and process orientated.
High degree of attention to detail and ability to solve complex problems.
Experience in managing teams and driving performance.
Ability to act as coach and mentor for individuals and teams.
Must hold an SIA Non-frontline licence or be willing to apply for one (Essential).
If not already held, must be willing to apply for a frontline SIA licence and CCTV licence.
Must be willing to study towards a qualification in people /team and Security management.
Proficient in the use of IT systems (Essential).
IOSH qualification (Desired).
Experience of working in Corporate Manned Guarding or similar uniformed service (Preferred).
Security related qualification/experience (Preferred).
Knowledge and experience regarding the application of structured problem solving methods.
Knowledge and experience of HR processes, (recruitment, absence management, performance management, grievance, disciplinary etc.), able to promote good employee relations.
Track record as change agent and of implementing best practice.
Ability to lead, motivate, coach and develop people and work within a team environment with a proven track record of leading high performance teams.
