Global Security & Investigations protects the firm's employees and assets throughout the world. This responsibility includes the development of security and safety policies and procedures, regulatory and legislative compliance, security guard management and alarm response, crisis management, corporate building security and customer/visitor/client safety, physical crime investigations, workplace violence, fire and life safety, executive protection, pre-employment screening, security operations on a global basis, and fraud Investigations.

The position requires the 24/7 security management of JP Morgan Chase EMEA buildings at 3, 4 & 5 Lakeside, Edinburgh, Alhambra House and Bothwell Street, Glasgow, Scotland.
This includes the day to day management of the buildings and contract guarding teams, strategic planning, direction, coordination and implementation of security procedures, incident handling, crisis management, technical systems, and personnel policies.

The successful applicant must be able to;
Work on-call on any given day(s) 24/7
Manage the Day to Day responsibility of JPM’s contract guard force, including training, manning levels & testing. Maintaining a close daily relationship with the guard force vendor.
Development & maintenance of building plans (as well as staff training) per location. To facilitate the safe evacuation of staff from JP Morgan premises in the event of an emergency. Ensuring the security of premises after evacuation and liaison with BCP personnel, to assist in the continuity of business.
Analyze security needs, plan and direct implementation of security measures, such as security or safety systems, and estimate costs of operation balanced against calculated risk. Develop and establish security procedures for protection of individuals, groups, or JP Morgan Chase property.
Confer with management to determine the need for training programs and to formulate and coordinate these with LOB's concerned. Training staff and colleagues in incident management, building evacuation, personal & office safety, mail room safety, bomb awareness or as requested by JPMC Management.
Confer with staff & colleagues regarding security needs, evaluation of services, or problems with security systems.
Support senior management by identifying risks and ensuring the smooth continuance of business functions during a disaster or other crisis
Work closely with Real Estate, Global Technology Infrastructure, Global Business Resiliency, LOB Business Resiliency and Regional Security Managers to ensure effective coordination of all disaster/crisis management policies
Prepare reports as needed and directed by EMEA GS&I Senior Managers
Assist in the maintenance of the GS&I SharePoint site
Drive and manage working groups and/or project management groups to enhance the departments technological and/or operational support as needed
Manage projects assigned to the operational staff, driving best practice and efficient practices
To carry out any other duties or projects as directed by EMEA GS&I Senior Managers and to provide general support to all product lines when required.


Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required :
Past management of guarding contracts or relevant similar experience.
Knowledge of staff safety, and security operations, rules & regulations, precautions, prevention, and the protection of people, data and property.
First level incident management and escalation
Experience of Executive Protection/Event Security procedures
Knowledge of physical and technical security systems including access control and CCTV. Ability to carry out site risk assessments and security evaluations.
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills;
Effective reading, writing and oral communication skills;
Comprehensive computer skills (good understanding of all Microsoft applications)
Ability to effectively complete multiple tasks in a high pressure environment
Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment while consistently producing error free work and meeting deadlines
Experience in Emergency Response/Operations or Crisis Management
Knowledge of local Health & Safety and Fire Life Safety rules and regulations.
