Security Supervisor

Position Overview
First Security Guards Ltd is recruiting for a Security Supervisor for one of there prestigious client.  The overall role is to manage the rostered security team on a 24/7 basis in order to maintain the security and life safety of the clients staff, assets and reputation.

Responsibilities
Direct line management for all rostered security staff in conjunction with the DSM.
Liaison with the FSG scheduling team to ensure suitable trained support officers are allocated to the estate in order to ensure contractual manning requirements are fulfilled.
Updating of Timegate rostering application for all security staff, ensuring no shifts are left undermanned at any time.
Day to day allocation and implementation of duties for rostered security officers in accordance with Assignment Instructions (A.I’s) and any additional manning requirements that have been previously arranged or are deemed necessary due to unforeseen situations.
Expected to cover the DSM position during bouts of absence / annual leave once fully trained.
Ensure that all security officers are in possession of a valid SIA licence or letter of dispensation before being booked on for duty, confirming this by signing the relevant D.O.B.

Ensure that the log books are present, completed and up to date by way of daily checks / post visits and sign each book to confirm this.
Issue daily security briefs to all rostered security officers to inform them of any ongoing or upcoming events of interest.
Report immediately any/all equipment faults to the relevant vendor, providing correct details and in a timely manner.
Carry out and document monthly welfare visits for all rostered security officers and provide back to the Senior Supervisor in a timely manner.
Carry out regular post visits throughout each rostered shift to ensure supervisory oversight and security officer’s adherence to A.I’s.
Provide first line incident investigation and supervision in response to security and life safety situations when required.
Assist with the management of any HR issues requiring action on the contract as directed by and in conjunction with the DSM, inclusive of formal interviews & investigations.
Coordinate the induction training and sign off of rostered security staff whether full time or cover from the City operations team.
Ensure the maintenance of basic discipline within the rostered security shift, i.e; absenteeism, appearance, punctuality and conformance to duty instruction.
Manage your own workload and the workload within the rostered security team.
Deal with the Client and the Clients’ staff in a professional, effective and customer engaging manner.
Maintain and ensure the confidentiality and integrity of all information viewed/received or created from the client.
Maintain written communication in accordance with Assignment Instructions (A.I’s).
Escalate and report any/all security breaches immediately in accordance with A.I’s.
Adhere to the Equal Opportunities/Health and Safety policies on behalf of both FSG and the client.
Carry out staff performance appraisals annually in line with both FSG and Security Industry requirements.
Maintain clear, telephone communication to colleagues and FSG management at all times.
Provide first aid if required when responding to an emergency medical situation.
Remain alert to local events which potentially impact business operations.
Provide assistance and follow instruction from the landlord security team in the event of building evacuations
Remain pro-active in your approach to the role and escalate any concerns you may have to FSG management.
The responsibilities listed are not exhaustive. The Security Supervisor position requires a flexible approach to responsibilities in order to meet the fluctuating demands of the client.

What we are looking for
Essential – 2 years minimum experience as a Security Supervisor on a Corporate Account.
Front Line SIA Licence in Security Guarding essential as a minimum
CCTV, DS, or CP Licenses in addition would be beneficial
In date First Aid Qualification to be held
Automated External Defibrillator qualification in addition would be beneficial
Knowledge of the following Software Packages is required:
Microsoft Office Suite
Timegate Rostering tool
Good communication skill, both written and oral (Essential)
Experience in working within a team as well as on your own (Essential)
Ability to operate in a pressurised environment.
Package
Pay Rate: £11.57 per hour
Working Hours: 21 day roster pattern (days/nights and weekends)
Day shift – 07:00 to 19:00
Night shift – 19:00 to 07:00
Contract: 56 hours per week
