Yodel is seeking ambitious and motivated candidates to oversee the delivery of security across our Southern service centres and business operations. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a proven track record in a security/ loss prevention or a profit protection role. As part of our wider securities team you will work hard and be responsible for reducing business loss and increasing our overall profitability.
With extensive travel across the region you will visit our key business locations and clients to support on the overall security development of the business.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Advising and influencing the security function for a number of business locations
Support the company in detection and prevention of crime, by investigating internal and external theft and fraud
Compile and present case files that will satisfy and support the internal disciplinary process, criminal proceedings and other legislative bodies
Conduct route cause analysis and share recommendations and observation with colleagues and the wider business
Attend and investigate all major incidents, liaise with and be the point of contact for the police and identify any possible weaknesses to make recommendations to improve the physical security
Analyse all available information/incidents and prioritise actions to ensure maximum effectiveness of security activities in dealing with service centres or individuals that have high risk exposures
Support the continued review and development of training and awareness packages designed to build a safe and secure environment for all our colleagues and customers
Develop and maintain an internal and external network, including the Police, enforcement authorities, Retail security / LP team s and other similar functions
Responding to claims data to oversee where the GLIT losses are in the business and identifying a robust plan with the Regional Manager on how to tackle and reduce further occurrences.
Review GLIT plans that service centres have submitted and advise and support accordingly to reduce crime and loss
Respond to incidents through our incident management system and close off to a satisfactory outcome
Complete service centre and client visits to support the overall security strategy
Essential Experience
Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills
Knowledge of Criminal and Civil law, employment and H&S legislation
Expert in investigations and case file building
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including written, verbal and presentation
Full driving license
Management or supervisory experience
Worked in a securities, loss prevention or profit detection environment
Extensive travel is a key part of this role with nights away to be expected.
