Job Purpose
- Play your part in the security of our airports so that customers, staff, and vehicles can use our facilities safely.
- Reports to Team leader.
- Hours: full-time and part-time contracts with rostered working hours.
- Days: shift work covering our 24-hour operation, seven days a week.
Principal Responsibilities
- Screen all people, vehicles and items that enter our restricted areas using x-ray machines, other screening technology and hand searches.
- Check ID and/or travel documents for all passengers and staff entering restricted areas.
- Understand passengers’ needs - especially those with small children - and keep queuing times to a minimum.
- Patrol the terminal and surrounding areas to ensure buildings are secure and potential risks identified.
