The Requirements
RBS Security and Resilience are now recruiting to fill a post within the Physical Security
team. The position of Physical Security Adviser will give you ownership and the responsibility to identify and take action to reduce security risks affecting our customers and staff, providing a safe and secure environment in which to operate.
Working as an integral part of the team, you will be responsible for delivering a range of integrated, specialist Security & Resilience services and solutions to Group divisions and other Security & Resilience functions, covering Physical Security. In addition, you will work with and provide support to the Transformation portfolio teams to develop and deliver strategic plans and roadmaps to the business.
As the Physical Security Adviser, you will work with the Security Compliance & Group Resilience Oversight and Assurance team to scope and deliver targeted reviews focusing on areas of high risk across the Group. Supporting the team to provide efficient, agile, risk based services to business partners in compliance with policies and regulations is a key part to this role.
Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with peers and across service and Security & Resilience to achieve effective and mutually supportive cross team working
Support the Managers, Service and Solutions Delivery and the Customer Security team to ensure security and resilience being built in up-front of new products and projects
Support the ongoing development and improvement of the integrated service model increasing efficiency and effectiveness to balancing risk, business requirements and other delivery priorities to deliver a range of engagements to a consistently high quality
Engage and build strong relationships with a range of business stakeholders, representing the wider Security & Resilience agenda and strategy at all times
Adopt an agile, pragmatic and proactive stance to service delivery
Support the team to delivery of a range of solution orientated services aiming for consistent, high quality outcomes that reduce risk and meet business requirements
Follow quality assurance processes to reach and maintain consistently high quality outcomes and deliverables
Experience:
Clear, written and verbal communication skills
Working with a broad range of business units across RBS and/or other global organisations
Experience providing expert advice and guidance to mitigate risk resulting in protection of personnel, customers and assets
Experience in supporting individuals pre & post incidents and liaison with external agencies e.g. law enforcement
Excellent planning and organising ability
Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet deadlines
Technical Knowledge:
Knowledge of relevant industry security standards as well as maintain positive awareness of codes of practice and guidelines
Professional knowledge of physical security system ad procedures relevant to a financial services environment
Office Tools
