Background to Job Role
Our client provides a service for vulnerable adults & young people. The support staff provides the daily support required for clients at the project with the night concierge staff providing security
Candidates must: -
Be SIA Licensed in accordance with the Security Industry Act 2001
Willing to undergo an Enhanced CRB check
Have a 5 year checkable history to the standards required by BS7858
Physically & medically fit
Be of smart appearance
Enthusiastic and willing to develop new skills
Job Description
·To provide a courteous, professional and welcoming atmosphere for all residents, their representatives and visitors to the scheme.
· To provide security for the clients and the building out of hours
· To remain alert at all times and give consistent attention to all in the building.
· To carry out regular visual and sensory checks of all internal and external inspections in the communal area(s) and documenting concerns to management.
· Monitor access to the premises and visitors
· Meeting the requirements of health and safety policies and practices
· Reporting incidents and anti-social behaviour
· Effective recording of information
· Implementing policies and procedures to ensure effective service delivery
· An understanding of Health & Safety at work & the likely issues to occur in a residential building.
· A mature & non-judgmental attitude to working with a client group that may present challenging behaviour
· Be able to communicate effectively with people from all backgrounds & seek to understand & be understood. Writes clearly & concisely
· Customer Focus - Builds effective and boundaried relationships
· Able to be flexible in approach to responsibilities and to working hours
· Shift Hours are between 10 - 12 hour shifts, 4 nights on and four nights off in rotation over any one week (including bank holidays). A handover to day staff would be expected.
