Job purpose
A Team Leader for Security and Cleaning is required to work within a retail environment based in Birkenhead, CH41.You will be responsible for overseeing the team staff and ensure the safety of the client, contractors and working colleagues.

Working 48 hours per week. You must be fully flexible to work any 5 out of 7 days, be available to work late nights and weekends when required. Hours are TBD.

Some general cleaning duties may be occasionally required. You must be SIA Licensed and/or have experience in CCTV.


Responsibilities

To ensure that all critical alarms are actioned in a timely manner.
Ensure full compliance with site policies and procedures.
To assist in the card production process and in training of team members.
To monitor access and egress of personnel and respond to breaches.
To be responsible for the administration, issue and return of all keys and radio communication equipment.
To ensure that all incidents, which occur during the course of your duties, are reported promptly and recorded within the guidelines laid down by the client/Security Manager are efficiently dealt with.
To ensure that the removal of goods and permit to work procedures are maintained at all times.
To conduct ad-hoc searches of bags and personal belongings to sub-contractors and cleaners before they leave the premises, on the client’s instruction.
To comply with data protection guidelines regarding disclosure of personal and confidential information held on the security databases.
To maintain a key element of the Control Centre function by utilising the technology available to ensure that as far as possible the building remains secure and any suspicious activity is noted.
To prevent unauthorised access/egress through Loading Bay.
To conduct a patrol of the premises using CCTV internally noting results in the patrol book.
To create and maintain relationships with other business service providers on the portfolio ensuring seamless, premier, customer service is provided.
To ensure that an effective handover takes place at shift change over periods and that all keys, equipment and documentation are properly accounted for.
To ensure all staff are fully conversant with emergency procedures and instructions issued by client/Security Manger.
To ensure that all incidents are promptly and efficiently dealt with and fully reported in the Daily Occurrence Book and that an incident occurrence report is compiled for all non-routine incidents.
Any other duties deemed to be appropriate or necessary.


Person


Excellent communication (both written and oral) and customer service skills (Essential).
Ability to work on own initiative and as a part of a team (Essential).
Ability to work in a pressured environment, multitask and meet deadlines (Essential).
Corporate experience (Essential).
A valid SIA Licence (Essential) – Door Supervisor (Desirable).
A valid CCTV Licence (Essential) or ability to obtain within 3 months of appointment to role at own cost.
Excellent time management and ability to work in a pressurised environment.
