RESERVE SECURITY OFFICER

To provide a professional security service to the to the staff,
visitors and contractors .To provide ad-hoc and short notice
security support to the established security teams at the Watford
Cardington contracts.
•To respond to incidents
•Toensure all incoming telephone calls are answered in a timely
manner and to take over the switchboard after 1900 hours during
the week and at weekends
•To ensure that all critical alarms are actioned in a timely manner
•Ensure full compliance with site policies and procedures
•Tomonitor access and egress of personnel and respond to
security breaches
•Tobe responsible for the administration, issue and return of all
keys and radio communication equipment
•Toensure that all incidents, which occur during the course of
your duties, are reported promptly and recorded as required
•To ensure the integrity of the security systems is maintained
•To conduct random searches of bags and personal belongings to
sub-contractors and visitors before they leave the premises, on
the client's instruction
•To comply with data protection guidelines regarding disclosure of
personaland confidential information held on the security
databases
•To ensure that the strict procedures for the removal of goods are
maintained at all times. To conduct a patrol of the premises using
CCTV noting results in the duty occurrence book
•To coverthe reception space as directed at locations listed within
the Assignment Instructions
•Toreport to Security Control Centre when necessary to
authenticate rights of access
•Toprevent unauthorised removal of company assets, in
particular IT equipment. This should be accompanied by a "Goods
Removal Form"
•To answer telephones and deal with general enquiries as directed
•To ensure that visitors to site are not permitted to enter the
premises unless their host or a representative or the host
accompanies them
•Toensure any queries in the first instance are referred to the
Supervisor or the Site Manager
•To ensurethe cardholder is informed that the forgotten card will
not work until the temporary card is returned
•To ensure that all visitor documentation is completed
•To ensure the filing is completed during the day
•To ensure the handover of any outstanding work
•Toconduct regular internal and external perimeter building
patrols
•Tosafely utilise the provided security vehicle when conducting
the necessary perimeter fenceline patrols and inspections
•Toensure when conducting building patrols Health and Safety
hazards are reported at all times
•To prevent unauthorised personnel from entering the site
•To conduct regular external perimeter patrols
•Conducta thorough check of all vulnerable points of the
perimeter of the buildings. Ensure all exits are secure and no risks
are present
•Staff should be aware of suspect packages being deposited in and
aroundthe precinct of the building and should make themselves
aware of the separate procedure to be adopted should such a
devise be discovered
•Check for suspicious characters loitering around the area
•To conductregular checks of areas listed within the Assignment
Instructions.
•Toensure that all fire exits and portable fire fighting equipment
cupboards are not impeded by any obstructions.
Candidate Profile:
•Good communication skills essential, both written and oral
•Hold a valid full UK driving licence
•Corporate experience preferred but not essential
•SIA Licence
