Managing Director Guernsey

Job Introduction:
To direct, manage and develop the Guernsey business within to grow and maintain a profitable business within its market sectors in support of the Islands business plan and G4S strategy. To represent the business as the senior leader on Guernsey to motivate and lead the team To ensure there is continued growth from current contracts to increase growth of operational portfolio and to extend working relationships across the G4S Business. Role Responsibility:

The Ideal Candidate:
Leadership:
Direct and oversee the effective management of contracted services within all market sectors across Guernsey to ensure all required contractual performance, statutory compliance and profitability targets are achieved and maintained.
Contribute to strategic thinking including development of organizational change to achieve improved margins and profit. Be responsible for the profitability of accounts.
Create clear accountabilities at every level of the business unit to ensure agreed targets are achieved in support of the Business Plan.
Provide strategic and professional leadership and direction to Managers and respective teams. Focusing leadership in order to achieve the strategy and delivery of the business plans whilst ensuring they are supported at the right level in order to achieve growth

Growth:
Develop, agree and implement a successful strategy for business development, directing business development activities that grow the business in line with the Guernsey and Off Shore Islands business plan.
Create a culture committed to providing standards of service that differentiate the G4S business from other competing providers within our selected markets.
Create a culture of partnership with customers and other agencies and partners, promoting and maximising business opportunities and operational viability in line with policy and agreed G4S business strategy.
Ensure the researching of market and technological developments to enable the business to respond to and take advantage of new opportunities and improve delivery capability.
Participate in and contribute to organisational development and wider policy and procedural and business development to support further overall business objectives with IS and G4S UK and Ireland region as a whole.

Compliance:
Develop, monitor and manage within agreed budget and manning levels to meet financial performance and reporting requirements.
Create a culture committed to adhering to statutory and corporate health, safety and environmental requirements in order to maintain a safe and secure working environment.
Ensure compliance with G4S policies and minimum standards.
