Our client; a top tier financial, is looking for a Security Operations Manager to provide effective and timely physical security risk management, and the provision of security services, across the company. To ensure that solutions to mitigate the physical security risks across the region are proportionate and fit with business objectives.

The role holder will have accountability for ensuring that:

• There is a clearly defined security strategy aligned to the client’s security strategy which articulates the operational security requirements to manage all security risks.
• The regional strategy is developed through strong leadership, innovation and has regional executive support.
• All security risks are identified and that all necessary remediation, acceptance, mitigation, or transference of these risks is managed in an efficient and timely manner.
• Interact, advise and influence senior business executives, and maintain a close working relationship with delivery partners to ensure an efficient delivery of appropriate security services
• Manage a programme of governance, conformance and risk assessment reporting, and have detailed input into planning, risk profiling, and implementation of all physical security issues relating to the company .
Key responsibilities include:



Security Governance, Control and Principal Risk Reporting
• Ensure that the security strategy is Embedded across the region and that risks are effectively controlled to ensure the risk management approach to security is cohesive, coherent and effective, and affords a safe and secure working environment in accordance with existing policies and standards.
• Where appropriate, seek and manage dispensations, breaches and waivers where non-compliance with policy and standards is observed
• Ensure all security risks are escalated through the Principal Risk Assessment process, the development of a regional Risk and Control Assessment and meaningful thresholds for Key Risk Indicators.
• Manage all security conformance and remediation of related Control Issues and Internal Audit points arising.

Operational Security Delivery
• Provide security designs and recommendations for all Capital Projects relevant to the region.
• Engage with high and medium risk 3rd party suppliers and manage their physical security in line with the Bank's minimum standards.
• Provide input to the design and implementation of robust operating procedures by routine coordination of physical security issues and specific events and incidents that are appropriate to the regional conditions.
• Implement an effective and efficient incident management, reporting and investigation process.
• Implement strategic and operational direction of security contingency plans to avoid or deal with incidents and crisis across the allocated countries.
• Act as the regional and country subject matter expert for the Crisis Management Team when they are stood up.
• Using measurement models to support risk management to mitigate risk, escalate crime predictions to the business and identify trends in crime types and implement appropriate countermeasures.
• Create and manage a security budget in the region, manage the security service providers within contracts and SLAs and KPIs.
• Manage financial performance and spend vs the budget.
• Manage security contractors to deliver effective solutions and services and ensure proactive security inspections take place to report on and to establish budget requirements.

Stakeholder Management
• Act as the regional security point of contact for all internal and external stakeholders.
• Build and maintain effective professional security relationships with the company Physical Security, CIBWM Security and CRES Security stakeholders and all other internal and external stakeholders
• Provide clear communications to all business leaders and executives engaging effectively across the region to ensure implementation plans are successful.
• Develop a global network of external contacts in law enforcement and security services to support the region's countries in times of crisis.

Person Specification
Essential;
• It is essential that the incumbent has a physical security orientated background, with extensive knowledge of the banking or cash management environment.
• Substantial personal experience of implementing security policy, operations and requirements.
• Must have experience of working as part of a change management agenda and capable of driving through specific security projects to quality standards of the highest operational excellence.
• Have managerial responsibility for the management of budgets.
• Ability to analyse complex situations, make relevant deductions to advise and inform practical solutions and decisions that are cost-effective and meet business objectives.
• Be able to deliver timely decisions and adjust priorities in rapidly changing circumstances.
• Possess the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing to direct peers and to senior leaders/executives.
• Strong leadership and management skills especially in the areas of organisation, driving results, project management, innovation, motivation, cost effectiveness and diplomacy.
• Must be a strong collaborative manager of operations and people spread across a disparate and remote geographical area.
• Must be prepared to undertake extensive and frequent travel and respond to crisis and incidents on a 24/7 basis.
• Language skills commensurate to the regional responsibility are preferable.
