Security officer


The Person

For this Security Officer role, knowledge and

experience of a customer focussed working

environment and the ability and awareness to

provide a high quality service at all times, are a

key requirement. Excellent verbal and written

communication skills are vital, including the

ability to relay information clearly in person and

via a radio communication system, and to

provide clear incident reports .

The successful candidate will have proven ability

to make decisions appropriate to the situation,

working within provided guidelines, and receive,

interpret and act on instructions quickly and

effectively. It is essential to have demonstrable

skills in observation and the ability to appraise

situations quickly and effectively with proven

experience of managing potentially volatile

situations and dealing with conflict.

This role involves continual foot patrols around

a substantial campus, and it is essential to be

able to react quickly to situations. Applicants

must have the ability to undertake the physically

demanding tasks and manual handling duties as

described in the Key Duties. it is essential to be

flexible in working a shift roat which covers 24/7

throughout the year (including the Christmas

period, Bank holidays, weekends, evenings and

night shifts) and to make a positive contribution

within an established team.....
