Assistant Security Manager ,

Location: Central London
Salary: £35-37k base

My client who is a property management company is now seeking an Assistant Security Manager to join their team.

You will be reporting to the Security Manager and you will ass him in the overseeing all security related functions for the Group. This will include overseeing the security of the property portfolio, assist in managing the team of security guards, organising the security rotas and all other administrative functions and dealing with any breaches in security which may be brought to your attention. You may also be required to undertake other work of which you are capable and which is assigned to you by the Company.
Key tasks (these by nature are not exhaustive)
• Carry out security inspections / audits of all properties in the portfolio according to a schedule agreed with the Security Manager.
• Carry out checks of all contract and retained security staff during the day shift, with occasional spot checks at night and at the weekend, to ensure proper levels of security are maintained.
• Monitor access to properties and the maintenance of security log books.
• Respond to alarm callouts as required, and to carry out inspections of DVR and other monitoring equipment.
• Provide a security presence and carry out property pre and post visit checks subject to Family movements.
• Provide stand-in cover for emergency staffing problems.
• Provide training to the security guards as required.
• Be available via telephone or mobile phone 24 hours per day to respond to any emergencies etc.
• Report any irregular behaviour of staff or contractors, as well as any incidents, complaints, suspicious persons or safety hazards to the Security Manager immediately.
• Provide security cover for building / maintenance tasks when requested.

To be eligible for this role you will need the following
• Individuals with an SIA licence would be preferable, but not essential as this is an in house role
• The ability to manage a mixture of in house security teams as well as 3rd party security teams.
• High level of discretion is also required, as the properties residents are very high net worth individuals who demand and expect a very high level of confidentiality
• Experience in similar fields would also be beneficial.

The role will be generally Monday to Friday 9.15 to 18.15, with some weekend cover on a weekly rota basis; however you may be tasked to work some unsociable working hours depending on operational situation.

As the bulk of the sites are within Central London, individuals who live within the M25 would be ideally situated.
