We now require a Security Manager to lead our operational team. You will already hold an SIA Guarding licence and be able to demonstrate exceptional leadership skills. Previous managerial / supervisory experience is a necessity. You will work 40 hours per week, on a rota basis, 5 days out of 7, which will include evenings and weekends a necessary. The role will also require the Security Manager to be the
immediate point of contact for the Retail Account Manager, and will entail a requirement to oversee other operational functions as deemed necessary for the ongoing success of Europa’s service delivery commitments.The Security Team ensures exemplary standards of security and customer service are provided to the client and visitors at all times. You will be the public face of the security team and will therefore play an influential role in the success of our contract.
The key responsibilities for the Security Manager role will include:
To coordinate and manage all Mall and Control Room operations at Princesshay.
Line manage a team of Security Supervisors and Security Officers providing guidance, support and specialist expertise to the team.
Drive change, new ideas and challenge current operating procedures implementing best practice across the structure.
Ensure the team are tasked efficiently and effectively maximising resource at peak times matching rotas to operational demands.
Effectively manage the budget, continually reviewing all factors affecting the operation including agency staff, staff payroll, uniforms etc.
To ensure the necessary internal site quality audits are undertaken and provide a detailed action plan and manage any non compliance
Understand client requirements’ providing solutions to meet and exceed needs and contribute to achieving the customers’ objectives.
To support recruitment, Induction training, developing and retraining of staff where necessary ensuring a “one team approach”
Ensure the site payroll is administered according to payroll deadlines and that sickness, other absence and overtime are processed correctly.
Ensure all HR administration is completed in a timely manner, in respect of performance management, staff welfare issues.
Provide shift cover, duty management and flexibility to cover outside normal operational hours, frequent monitoring and management of silent hours operations
Management of the site SIA procedures in line with company operating policies.
To be responsible for all Security equipment. Ensure equipment is fit for purpose and operational at all times maximising down time.
The successful Security Manager will have:
Previous experience in supervising/managing a team.
Experience of operating within the retail sector, understanding of retailer liaison.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Dual SIA Licensed. (CCTV / Manned Guarding)
