What will I be doing?
Job Purpose: To provide a safe and secure environment for staff and guests, to ensure the security of all property within the hotel and to ensure compliance with relevant Health and Safety legislation.
PERSONAL SPECIFICATIONS
Dealing with undesirableswithin the hotel in a prfessional manner, liaisng with police and other government agencies
Be fully conversant with all statutory requirements on health & safety, manual handling, COSHH, food safety and fire regulations. To identify any risks involved in the day to day operations and ensure risks/accidents and reported and documented.
Quality
Ensure compliance with fire safey legislation
Thorough reporting of accidents/incidents
operating and monitoring of CCTV system
Responsible to organise and monitoe deep cleaning and ensure highest standards are maintained by external cleaning contractors
People
Staff back door checks and ensure proper monitoring of access through the correct control and distribution of access cards
identify relevent training needs, organise, deliver and record required training
Profit
Investigating and reporting allegations of thefts, damage
Ensure that goods entrance is secure at all times and that all stores, function rooms, guest bedrooms and offices are secured when not

- Physically fit.*
- Excellent communications skills both written and verbal.
- Well groomed.
- Organised and systematic approach to problem solving.
- High attention to detail.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
- Sober, honest and trustworthy (references essential).
- Hotel or customer service experience – minimum 6 months.
- 2nd language
- Investigative experience.
- Knowledge of powers of arrest, search and caution.
- First aid at work qualified (must have within 6 months of commencing employment).
- Fire fighting course.
