Corps Security is one of the UK’s leading security solutions providers with an outstanding reputation for providing a quality service. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Security Manager to be based at one of its prestigious client’s premises in Barnstaple, Devon.

The ability to manage the Security team in providing an efficient, flexible and motivated Security team is pivotal to the success of this role. We are seeking a Security Manager with excellent planning, organisational and commercial skills together with experience to recognise opportunities.

The role in Mon-Fri, 0800-1800 however may be required to occasionally attend site at weekends due to operational requirements. The pay rate is £9.99 per hour.

Main Accountabilities
To proactively manage a team of 18 staff with overall responsibility for the security service.
To ensure all staff carry out their duties in an efficient and responsible manner in accordance with the client’s requirements, legislation and Corps Security Policies and Procedures.
To monitor all staff and contractor activities on the site including the ‘control of contractors’, recording of method statements and risk assessments.
To take responsibility for the operation and monitoring of a range of building management systems including fire & intruder alarms and utilities monitoring equipment.
To lead, manage and motivate direct reports including: goal setting, performance review (assist with 6 & 12 month assessments), appraisals, performance management, coaching and development planning, monitor attendance / timekeeping & conduct counseling sessions where necessary.
To complete and oversee all completion of Corps Security administration. This will include maintaining attendance and sickness records, training records and annual leave records.
To respond to any facilities incidents or security issues that may arise and to meet/liaise with clients/departments as required ensuring that any incidents are resolved. Ensuring ownership for each incident is clearly defined and escalated as appropriate.
To produce a range of reports on the security and building management operation, using both manual and computerised systems ensuring that all Corps sites are maintained in line with Contract Agreements.
To assist the Line Manager with disciplinary/investigations in accordance with Corps Security policies and procedures
To produce written reports using MS Office for Line Manager on a Daily/Weekly/Monthly basis as required.
To perform ad hoc duties as required.


Requirements
· High level of IT proficiency – including the full use of MS Office
· The job holder must have supervisory or team leading experience.
· First Aid Qualified / with DeFib Training ( preferable)
· The job holder must hold the appropriate Security Industry Authority (SIA) Licence
· 5 year checkable work / educational history.
