Key Purpose
To manage and organise all security personnel on the DHL Livingston Contract throughout their shift, providing a central focus for the operational success of the Team and service delivery.
The Shift Supervisor will be responsible for managing all Security Personnel and the day-to-day Operational issues impacting on the DHL Livingston contract throughout their shift, providing a central point of contact and service delivery development, performance, measurement and centralised reporting which fully demonstrates the Securitas values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness.
This position is key to the operational success of the team and is required to strengthen the relationship between DHL Livingston and Securitas by offering one point of operational supervision on a 24/7 basis.
Effective and timely communication of reports intended to be communicated at all levels is essential and regular briefings to their team to enhance management of Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People and Innovation.

Key Responsibilities
All personnel under their supervision have undertaken the appropriate site training and are in possession of a valid SIA license or LDN to meet industry requirements.
Accurate rostering and forward planning of all direct reporting officers ensuring sufficient cover for holidays, sickness and absences.
All Security Officers are spoken to at least once a month, proactively monitoring performance, maintaining positive employee relations and ensuring coaching, counselling and any investigations are implemented in line with company policy and procedure as necessary.
Monitoring and management of appearance, behaviours of all Security personnel, addressing disciplinary action as required in line with company policy.
Actively encourage staff recognition and staff nominations for awards.
Assignment Instructions and site documentation kept up to date.
All incidents are reported in compliance with customer and company policy and procedures.
Assist the Security Management Team in developing and sharing of “best practice” and use of systems and tools to improve service effectiveness.
Planning, development and implementing personnel training, including routine duties and emergency procedures.
Monitor faults with security related equipment, ensuring they are reported correctly.
Being fully conversant with operational functions including Access Control, CCTV, Detection and Alarm Systems, ensuring effective monitoring and reporting function is maintained.
Participate in any arranged company training to improve standards of performance.
To be the first point of contact for security function related queries resolving more complex queries utilising experience and knowledge referring any complaints with regards to security practices, to the Security Management Team.
