Security Manager - £40,000 + Car + Benefits. FTSE 100 organisation based in Bristol
I am recruiting on behalf of a multi-national, FTSE 100 organisation for a key job at one of their Bristol offices. As a company they have a strong presence in defence, energy, rail and marine, and they continue to grow globally year on year.
The Security Manager sits within a team that provides essential fleet management services for the MOD. Focusing on MOD fleets located in the UK, mainland Europe and Northern Ireland, there is also potential to take responsibility for fleets located in other overseas locations as required. Working as part of the contract management team, this role is responsible for all security matters within the fleet management operations.
This role is responsible for devising and implementing the fleet manager's security plan in regards to the safe and secure use of vehicles and data held within the fleet management information system (FMIS). This role is responsible for delivering the security plan across all designated operational countries worldwide. Regular travel to overseas locations will be required. The role is required to adapt the security plans and procedures for regions with unique features such as increased security threat areas such as Northern Ireland.
Main Responsibilities
To prepare and agree with the MOD a security management plan to be applied across the MOD administrative fleet management service
To provide an assurance function that vehicles are being managed in line with relevant MOD policies including JSP440
To promote, measure and continually aim to mature the level of security culture across the service
Be the first point of contact for security events involving any of the managed fleet
Liaising closely with the MOD, local police, all operational locations and other appropriate security organisations as required to ensure potential security risks are minimised
Taking action to ensure that security incidents are investigated in accordance with MOD and Company security policies
Responsible for ensuring that counter-compromise action is taken and for making recommendations on the security aspects of breaches to company management and other relevant authorities.
Own and manage the recording of reported security breaches
Ensuring that security surveys, periodic and surprise inspections are carried out on operational sites and with sub-contractors
Ensuring that the requirements of the HMG Information Assurance Maturity Model are complied with across the organisation through the nominated Information Asset Owners (IAO)
Producing of up-to-date assessments of threats to security, as required. This includes the dissemination of threat assessments
Ideal candidate
Experience of Fleet security management within an MOD and/or Corporate environment
Strong communicator with excellent presentation and stakeholder management skills
Flexible attitude towards work and willing to travel.
