Thornford Park – part of Priory Healthcare – is an independent 123 bedded hospital set in 23 acres of parkland on the outskirts of Newbury, Berkshire. We provide services for male patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983) who require care in conditions of medium and low security. We offer long-term treatment and rehabilitation for patients with enduring mental disorders and forensic histories, who present with multiple problems, challenging behaviour, high risk behaviours and complex needs.

An exciting opportunity has opened up for a Security Manager. We are currently looking to recruit a Security manager to work 37.5 hours per week predominantly over a Monday to Friday shift pattern. Nights and weekend work may be required dependant on the department and hospital needs. You will manage the dedicated Security and Transportation department with the planning, implementation and review of Security and Transportation activities in order to ensure the safety and well-being of all patients, staff and visitors. You will report to the Senior Management Team.

Successful candidates will be experienced within a secure environment preferably a hospital or care setting but not essential. The individual will need to have excellent written and verbal skills bringing a professional attitude to the role. You will need to work to strict company policies with the ability be proactive in your approach. Managerial experience of a team is necessary.
