Our client, a well established Security Guarding Services company, is looking for a Senior Portfolio Manager responsible for the delivery of high end customer services, required to lead and manage a team of 50+ security operatives, operating across varying security disciplines, within a fast paced and fluid working environment.

You will be responsible for the development of security strategies, accountable for all tactical decision making in relation to guard force activity, and owning the delivery of all guard force operations across the account portfolio. You will be required to deliver quarterly & annual Business Development Plans to the Executive Management Team and a range of client partners & stakeholders.

The successful candidate will:


Have total responsibility and ownership for day-day running of security operations across the portfolio.


Display high levels of leadership, competence, and demonstrate flexibility and personal initiative.


Proactively identify areas within the business that require improvement and innovation.


Be accountable for all guarding budgetary forecasts and projections.


Strategic development of the guard force personal performance and development plans.


To have ownership of the portfolio Assignment Instructions and SOP/SAP library.


To develop and deliver all guard force crisis management and contingency planning.


To maintain and deliver portfolio service level agreements and key performance indicators.


Ownership and delivery of all daily/weekly reports required relating to guard force activity.


Manage all required core and additional guard force hours.


Ensure all issues and incidents are dealt with and reported on in a timely and efficient manner.


Develop and maintain excellent working relationships at all levels including with individual business units and other service providers.


Liaise daily with the client and third party stakeholders to ensure that all guard force delivery standards are met and exceeded.


Be on call 24/7 senior representative and incident manager for out of hours security events.


Liaise with head office to ensure that all contracted service requirements are maintained.


Ensure compliance with and the promotion of all current and new policies and procedures.


Be the lead site based advocate of all total security related business.


Ensure that the Duty Shift Managers are given clear goals and objectives throughout the twelve month period. Ensure that all team members are provided with suitable counsel to identify annual goals and objectives.


Devise and implement new security procedures, ensuring correct approval protocols are applied.


Be able to travel across the South East of England at short notice and be comfortable with travelling further afield as the role necessitates.


Be able to work away from home for certain periods of time

You must have:


A minimum of 1 year Senior Account Management (or equivalent level) experience within a blue chip corporate security environment (Essential)


Previous management experience (Essential)


A valid front line SIA Licence (Essential)


IT Literacy with working knowledge of Microsoft Package and associated security technologies (Essential). Individuals should hold a full, clean, UK driving licence

You may also have:


The ability to be able to demonstrate success in a similar role (Desirable)


Previous auditor experience (minimum internal auditor level) within a security related field


or ability to gain a valid SIA Close Protection licence


or ability to gain a valid SIA Public Space Surveillance CCTV licence
