Job Description
Work closely with the Head Receptionist to ensure all events are delivered successfully and room are set up and tested in advance.
Uniform ordering and maintaining good standards of dress and appropriate PPE.
Manage security and emergency incidents.
Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures are all in place and up to date.
Ensure the correct and appropriate operation of security systems and procedures.
Implementing client corporate policies and codes of practice as required by the client
Constantly assess risk and take appropriate measures to deal with that risk.
Regularly inspect all H&S and quality procedures and endorse them, paying particular attention to check call procedures.
Provide assistance to all staff who have welfare requirements.
Take detailed notes of all disciplinary/capability actions taken against employees making sure that all such matters are first referred to both the Operations Manager and HR.
Ensure all contractual commitments are honoured and if there is any failure be the first to advise the client and Operations Manager. Any complaints must be logged in accordance with the quality system and remedied in a timely manner.
Update all key FM staff of daily evacuation teams, roles and responsibilities.


Make sure that all security officers are aware of the latest training initiatives and are given the opportunity for both personal development and to improve their skill base
Ensure the team are constantly trained to meet leading industry and client practices
Ensure that all staff comply with Health &Safety requirements in all aspects of their work and that correct PPE is being used where required.
Maintain accurate and up to date Assignment Instructions and review annually, on all sites that you are responsible for against which all security officers should be assessed, to ensure their understanding and compliance. All instructions must be signed as having been read and understood by the officers.
Monitor and manage the progress of absenteeism, work performance and discipline.
Develop and manage security related projects and initiatives in collaboration with key customer management.
Provide information on activity on site relevant to the team's performance, on-going issues and future development opportunities.
Be main point of call for all CCTV and Access Control Issues.


The Successful Applicant

Experience
5 years experience in the security industry
Experience working in a busy demanding customer focused environment
2 years experience in a site or similar operational role
Proven experience in problem solving
Experience with security systems
